Bukit Barisan Golf Course

Whether you are looking for a golf weekend, a golf holiday, or the golf trip of your lifetime, our Golf & Travel guides will help you plan your next golfing adventure. Not only will we bring you to the first tee, but our detailed Golf & Travel guides will highlight the best local eats, and the best coffee shops, as well as show you all the must-see sights to make the most of your holiday both on and off the golf course.

Our passion is showcasing locations and golf courses that ignite a strong sense of wanderlust. We aim to excite and entice traveling golfers to break out of their comfort zones and get out there and explore all the amazing and tucked-away corners of the world. Along the way, we hope to spark an interest in the game in travelers. By highlighting golf courses that are open to the public, we will break down the stereotypes that surround the game and will show that golf is accessible to all.

COURSE INFORMATION

With a one-way ticket to Hong Kong, we set out on our journey. With just our golf clubs and backpacks on our backs, we traveled and played Golf in Asia from the end of February until the last day of August 2019.

We have been to Hong Kong a few times in the past and really love the city. But we had never played Golf in Hong Kong. Therefore, we thought that this familiar city would be the ideal destination to begin our golfing adventures.

Playing Golf in Taiwan didn’t turn out as we had hoped. The reason is probably twofold. First, the weather never really cooperated with us during our month-long clockwise journey around the island. And second, we hadn’t quite figured out yet how traveling and golf were going to work together.

We must admit, we didn’t know much about Golf in Malaysia before we arrived. We knew that Malaysia is a great country to travel to. But golf? We weren’t sure. What we found was an incredible surprise!

The extraordinary country of Indonesia is one of our favorite places in the world to travel to. But, with only 177 courses as of 2019, Golf in Indonesia does not offer the traveling golfer a huge amount of opportunity.
